Kane celebrates his 100th goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has stated that his enthusiasm in coming back to the Premier League has faded and he is willing to negotiate a new contract with Bayern Munich.
The prolific striker is presently halfway through the four-year contract he inked when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the offseason of 2023.
The experienced forward has scored an impressive 103 goals in 106 matches for the German side, playing a key role in them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which marked the initial significant trophy of his distinguished career.
Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has earlier mentioned that he would like to see Kane return to England, where he requires 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring milestone of 260.
However, the England skipper has now suggested that he is no longer as eager about returning home as he earlier was, and would certainly contemplate prolonging his time in Bavaria.
"In terms of remaining longer, I could certainly see that," he commented.
"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to arise I would be open to talk and have an frank conversation.
"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so progresses and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not focusing about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have realized in my career is that different opportunities and different periods happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."
Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the historic top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and recently became the speediest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five leagues, securing the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a trophy had avoided him until he secured the German title last season.
Kane admits that he was not sure how he would respond after overcoming his trophy drought, but now feels it has made him motivated for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.
"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.
"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
