The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to promote next month's boxing match.
Ex twice world heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I'm going to damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's my goal."
Civil Exchange
In spite of these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead targeted former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers met for the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is really proceeding.
